… Making Snacking on Gluten-free Granola Addicting!
I’m just going to make this short and sweet and say it like it is … Udi’s Gluten-Free Crunchy Original Granola is delicious.
You know how when a movie is released and it’s so good that it stays with you for a very long time? Then a sequel is released and you’re disappointed because it just couldn’t live up to the original? Well, I can’t speak to the quality of the “sequels” of the other varieties of Udi’s gluten-free granola (though I’m sure going to put them to the test and let you know), but I will say it will be a tall order living up to my love of the original. Yes, I’ve become hooked on this stuff. (Can I call it “crack” granola and get away with it?)
Why do I love this granola so much? Because it’s just the way a granola should be. It has the perfect crunch. The oats, pieces of dried banana chips, raisins and nuts are all individual and not stuck together in large clumps. I tend to shy away from granolas that have those large clumps, or clusters, because I find them to usually be too crunchy and hard to break apart. The small pieces of Udi’s Original Granola make it easy to sprinkle right into my mouth. There’s that slight crunch, but nothing overly dramatic, with a sweetness from honey that doesn’t overpower or turn this granola into a dessert or candy masquerading as a granola want-to-be. It’s the real deal. You don’t even have to be gluten-free to enjoy this stuff.
The perfect size and texture of Udi’s Gluten-Free Crunchy Original Granola make it ideal for adding to all sorts of other platforms. I like to stir it into my oatmeal for a bit of “snap” in the morning. It mixes into dairy-free ice cream deliciously, giving it kind of a pralines and cream result. Yum! Again because there are no clusters, it sprinkles onto a salad well – you’ll never miss croutons again, my friends. And it makes for fun and unique cookies when added into the dough of a favorite gluten-free, dairy-free chocolate chip cookie recipe. Yep, this is a keeper. What a fun way to put a twist into another classic treat, right?
Udi’s Gluten-Free Crunchy Original Granola is free of gluten, dairy, soy, and egg. This variety does contain tree nuts but no peanuts.
You can find Udi’s Gluten-Free Crunchy Original Granola at most major grocery stores, health and nutrition stores, and online at udisglutenfree.com.
Okay, I guess I didn’t really keep my review that short, but I think you’ll agree that it is sweet, right? Pick some up the next time you’re looking for a tasty and more nutritious snack. Oh, and I almost forgot, Udi’s comes in these great plastic, resealable pouch bags, so taking it on-the-go is as easy as it gets! This is actually one of my “old reliable” food items whenever I travel or do long car trips. Happy snacking!
