… Delivering Gluten-Free Goodness!

Daily Forage Does Random Act of Udi's

Take a look at this beautiful basketful of gluten-free goodies that Udi’s has sent to me. I’m so excited! Why did I get these fine products, you may ask. Udi’s is having a “Random Act of Udi’s” promotion during the month of January, and they’re sharing goodies with bloggers like me so we can share them with our friends, family, co-workers, and anyone who might love to learn more about Udi’s.

Udi’s Gluten Free makes tender and tasty muffins, bread, buns, and bagels, a large variety of soft-baked cookies and brownies, and crunchy granola and granola bars. And their product selection doesn’t stop there. They also make delicious pizza crust (I use it whenever I don’t want to make homemade – it’s really good!), and tortillas – which are great for quesadillas, tacos, or wraps, and even chips (better known as Ancient Grain Crisps).  All of these tasty snacks are gluten-free, while some are also free of one or more of the following: dairy, egg, soy, peanuts, and tree nuts.

Udi’s was so generous, as you can see from the basket-load in the photo, that I was able to share goodies with my neighbor’s young son who is just beginning to experiment with a gluten-free diet, an acquaintance (again a young person) who has been gluten-free, dairy-free, and egg-free his entire life, and I even sent some to my husband’s office for munching midday.

When I brought the basket around to my neighbor’s house, this sweet eight-year-old couldn’t decide what looked the best and was so excited when I said he could try more than one item. His eyes widened at the granola and muffins! Even the boy’s mom was excited to try the granola – they chose the cherry walnut flavor – and said she’d be mixing it into her yogurt at lunch time (this coming from a person with no dietary guidelines). His older brother (again no dietary requirements) spied a box of Snickerdoodles and couldn’t resist. Yay for gluten-free not tasting like anything other than yum, right?

The response at my husband’s office, from those who have no dietary restrictions but discovered Udi’s Ancient Grain Crisps, stated these are “quite deliciously munchable with a good flavor, nicely crisp, and no hint of being “gluten-free””.

Want a couple of serving suggestions? Use Udi’s Cinnamon Raisin Bagels to make thick, cinnamon-flavored French toast. Or how about creating a crumb-style pie crust with their Peanut Butter Coconut Cookies. Oh Yeah! I can’t wait to try something like that!

I love telling you about products with the praises you’ve heard here, and I’m sure Udi’s will love hearing it even more. If you haven’t tried Udi’s Gluten Free products yet, be sure to check them out at a store near you or order online. And don’t forget to follow them on Facebook and Twitter.

And Guess What!?! I’m giving away one coupon per person to a total of four winners (picked at random) – good for one free Udi’s product of your choice. To enter, simply leave a comment and let me know what your favorite Udi’s product is, or what you’re excited to try. Comment posting will close at 9:00 p.m. Eastern Standard Time, Monday, January 27th, 2014. The winners will be picked at random and notified within 24 hours. Good luck and leave me those comments!

  1. I love the Udi’s muffins. What a special treat to be able to have a muffin and stay gf!

  2. I LOVE their pizza crust! I also really like their white bread. I have not seen the ancient grains, and did not know about their granola. I’d be very interested to try those! Also, those snicker doodles sound totally awesome! Snickerdoodles used to be my fave cookie before I had to go gluten free. :0)

  3. Love Udi’s gluten free!
