… Simply Mixing Up Homemade Pumpkin Pie Spice With What’s Already in Your Spice Drawer!
It’s so easy to mix up your own Pumpkin Pie Spice mix with what’s, most likely, already in your spice cabinet or drawer. How many of us actually use up the entire containers of allspice, ginger, or nutmeg? I know I don’t. Yes, I definitely go through the cinnamon. Since they’re already in our stock, we might as well put them to good use, right? No need to spend extra money on a pre-mixed product and let the others get old and stale, especially since these are spices that we turn to primarily during the autumn season, and then they’re not visited again until next year. I say, mix away, and always have that “specialty” pumpkin pie spice fresh and ready at your whim. Here’s the recipe. I use McCormick’s spices because I know and trust that they are always gluten-free.
Homemade Gluten-free, Dairy-free Pumpkin Pie Spice Mix

- 2 1/2 teaspoons dried ginger
- 1 teaspoon allspice
Directions
- Combine all spices, mix, and store in an airtight container. Measure according to recipe calling for pumpkin pie spice.
