… I’ll be There!

GFAF Logo, courtesy of GFAF ExpoWill YOU be attending the Gluten & Allergen-Free Expo next month in Chicago? I’m getting very excited! I attended it last year and had a blast. I’ll be there again this year to learn about all the new and delicious gluten-free, dairy-free (and even multiple allergen-free) products hitting the industry. I love sharing these new things with you and can’t wait to see what goodies I find.

Why should you attend the GFAF Expo? It has over 100 vendors specifically targeting the gluten-free audience. They’ll be showing and sharing their products with delicious food samples (with opportunities to purchase these) – all of which are safe for Celiacs and those who have a wheat allergy or gluten intolerance. It touched my heart every time I heard a child say, “I can eat that?”, as their parent would hand a sample of some yummy treat to them. But it doesn’t end there! Many of these industry-leading manufacturers, as well as the newer companies to the market, address the needs of multiple food allergens. Having multiple food allergies myself, I especially like this. There’s even a dedicated nut-free area. The GFAF Expo has expanded into auto-immune/anti-inflammatory diseases and autism arenas as well.

Looking for gluten-free items other than food? Last year I was introduced to the most amazing gluten-free lipstick … Red Apple Lipstick (you’ve probably heard me mention them a few times). I scored a sample at the show, then promptly placed an order. I can’t wait to see what personal care vendors will be there this year!

You’ll also have a chance to meet some dynamic authors who will be sharing their cookbooks, health & nutrition books, even children’s books, on everything encompassed in living a gluten-free lifestyle. Meeting these authors, gleaning some of their knowledge first-hand, and sharing in their enthusiasm for where this industry has come from – where it is going – and how we’re all an integral part of it was one of the highlights of my weekend.

And I can’t forget to tell you about the “don’t miss” mini seminars. Over 20 informational sessions will be presented by the industry’s leading nutrition and health experts, expert chefs, and best-selling cookbook authors. Be sure to check out the link below for the schedule of events.

This year’s Expo will have a special location set up just for Bloggers -  where you can meet and chat with personalities behind your favorite gluten-free websites. I’ll have a spot too … Be sure to stop by and say hello! I can’t wait to meet you!

The GFAF Expo is the largest and fastest growing gluten-free event in the United States. You definitely understand that you’re not alone in the gluten-free world when you  see this united community come together at this expo! I am very excited about this show and I hope that you’ll be able to make it a part of your gluten-free journey!
