Gluten Free Crest Toothpaste and Mouthwash

… Because What You Eat is Not The Only Thing That's Important!

When you, or someone you know, is gluten free, you know how important it is to pay attention to what foods are consumed. Do you realize that it is just as important to consider the toothpaste you use? I like Crest Products, made by Proctor & Gamble, so I checked their website to see if their toothpaste and mouthwash items were safe for people with celiac disease and gluten intolerance or sensitivity. The website didn’t address this question, so I contacted the company directly. I received this email within a couple of hours:

Hello Connie,

Thanks for contacting Crest. 

None of our current Crest toothpaste versions, Crest Whitestrips versions, or Crest Night Effects contains gluten. In addition, none of the ingredients used in Glide dental floss contains gluten.

Although we do not directly add ingredients that contain gluten to Crest Pro-Health Rinse or to Crest Whitening Rinse, it's possible these products could contain trace amounts. We recommend you contact your doctor before using these Rinse products if you have questions or concerns about gluten.
