Gluten Free and Dairy Free Can Go Hand in Hand

  • Because so many gluten-free folks are also dairy-free, as we at Daily Forage are, many of the recipes will be labeled as gluten-free and dairy-free. From time to time, we will provide you with a product review that is focusing on the dairy-free element, of course still adhering to the gluten-free guidelines as well.

"Did you Know...?" Tips

  • *** Using a scale is the most accurate way to measure gluten-free flours, since not every “cup” of flour is equal to the next when measured by volume (even within the same flour type). Also, each type of flour also has a different density, which will result in a different weight per measured cup. ***
  • *** Using a coffee filter to cover your freshly baked gluten-free treats helps protect them while still allowing for air circulation and proper cooling. ***
  • *** Sifting baking soda, baking powder, and xanthan or guar gums help them incorporate into the flour mixture better. ***
