Justins All Natural Nut Butter, photo courtesy of Justin's I absolutely love nut butters. I depend on some kind of a nut butter protein every day. I like to have it on my toast for breakfast, but there are so many ways to include nut butter into my daily routine, I never have to worry about going without it. And Justin’s All Natural Nut Butters makes it easy. With eight different varieties, all with a creamy, smooth texture, Justin’s allows me to enjoy nut butter regularly without ever getting tired of the same old flavor.

When I discovered Justin’s, I set out on a mission to try each flavor, and use them in different ways, to see how adventurous I could be. I’m not sure I’ll win any awards for my creative side, though Justin’s has won two awards and an honorable mention at the 2011 Natural Products Expo West Show – but I’ve put my best taste buds forward.

There are two important points I want to share with you about Justin’s … 1: flavor and versatility, and 2: ease of use. So here’s how Justin’s “buttered” me up …

Let’s start with flavor and versatility. There are four varieties of almond butter: Classic Almond, Honey Almond, Chocolate Almond, and Maple Almond. I experimented with a number of different flavor combinations, but here are the ones that are my favorites:

Classic Almond lends itself perfectly to my quick go-to lunch, a sandwich made with bread, Classic Almond butter, and banana slices. Sometimes I hide just a few mini chocolate chips in the sandwich for a little extra indulgence. This is a great recharge sandwich in the middle of my busy day.

Honey Almond makes a great asian nut sauce when combined with a little chili paste and some chicken stock. Heat and reduce until you have a thick, smooth consistency. You end up with a sweet, bold, spicy flair. Spoon this over sauteed chicken and carrot slices, stir to incorporate, and serve over cooked white or brown rice. Kind of Asian, kind of Indian. Completely delicious.

Chocolate Almond says everything that needs to be said in its title. This chocolate lover always says yes to this. An easy and fun way to liven up a healthy batch of pancakes or waffles.

Maple Almond is my favorite, and I’m not just saying that because it’s Justin’s favorite also. This flavor combination says Autumn to me, no matter what time of year it is. Try this on apple slices or celery sticks. Or enjoy it straight out of the jar or take-along packet, as I do. Simple and perfect! Oh, I almost forgot this idea: add this to your hot gluten-free cereal in the morning for a perfect combination of protein, carbs, and FLAVOR!

Justin’s also has three varieties of peanut butter: Classic Peanut, Chocolate Peanut, and Honey Peanut. These are all just as wonderful in the suggestions mentioned above, and provide a great flavor variety for anyone whose choices are not limited by peanut allergies. So great that Justin’s has made tree nut versions, as well as peanut versions.

There’s one last Justin’s Nut Butter to enjoy, though I must say, “Last, but not least”: Chocolate Hazelnut. Yum! Try this in a shake by blending it with milk and ice cream, or a dairy-free substitute if appropriate. Subtle and sublime.

But if these nut butter choices still haven’t taken you over the top, Justin’s makes gluten-free peanut butter cups in two flavors: dark chocolate (which are also dairy-free), and milk chocolate.

And now to the easy point. Justin’s is available in individual serving size packets. With no concern for spilling, or requiring a knife to spread the nut butter from a jar, these packets can go anywhere you need them. Send them with kids in a school lunch, or toss them in a backpack for a quick after school snack before sports. They’re so easy to use, they can even be devoured in the car when a gluten-free snack on the road is hard to find.

Justin’s All Natural Nut Butters have definitely “buttered” me up. Try some today and let them do the same for you.
