Pack the swimsuit and sunscreen, but leave the dining out worries at home … Now there’s gluten-free galore at the newly renovated Grand Hyatt Kauai Resort and Spa in Poipu, Kauai, HI.

With the resort’s complete gluten free dining guide, there is no reason to feel deprived, or the least bit concerned, when it comes to indulging in all the culinary delights of the tropical island. This guide shares safe, gluten-free options offered at all six of the restaurants and lounges located at Kauai’s Grand Hyatt.

While planning your day’s activities of what the island has to offer, perhaps you’ll enjoy Gluten-Free Pancakes, or a Banana Chocolate Chip Muffin with a plate of  Ripe Island Fruit, served up at the Ilima Terrace. Come lunchtime, if you’re not too busy with checking out the waterfalls or parasailing, you might visit The Dock for Mahaulepu Fish Tacos with Corn Tortillas to satisfy your hunger pangs nicely, without sacrificing your waistline, or your digestive system. Midday brings thirst and the serious need for some “refreshments,” at least that’s my way of enjoying a tropical paradise. Just a little indulgence. Check out Stevensons Library or Poipu Bay Clubhouse for a Pina Colada or a Mango Daiquiri, or whatever favorite island cocktail you want the bartender to create. And when the playing (or the incredibly hard work you’ve put into relaxing all day laying on a lounge chair under the umbrella along the shore, and sliding your toes to and fro in the sand) begins winding down, dinner will be your next “pursuit of happiness.” Whether you want to savor Kauai’s freshest catch of the day, a surf-n-turf combo, or even something Italian such as Risotto Ai Funghi Di Bosco, you can find your fill at Donderos, Yum Cha, or Tidepools.

But perhaps the best part of going gluten-free in Hawaii … now The Grand Hyatt even offers a luau to their gluten-free dining guests. A true Hawaiian experience not to be missed!

So, as I said before, pack that swimsuit and sunscreen (I just did), and leave the dining out worries at home. Go gluten-free, Hawaiian style.
